Mandate fraud targets the bank details on file. A fraudster, often posing as a genuine supplier, asks you to update account details; future payments then go to them.
Why it matters for your business
The defence is simple: verify any change of bank details by phone on a number you already trust. We never ask you to change your repayment account via a link. See invoice and mandate fraud.
