Raise it with us
If you think we have got something wrong with your data — an unanswered request, data you believe is inaccurate, or a use you did not expect — the fastest route is usually to tell us. Contact us through credicorp.co.uk or your account, explain the concern, and we will look into it and aim to put it right. Many issues are simple to resolve once we know about them.
What we'll do
We will acknowledge your complaint, investigate, and come back to you with a clear explanation and any action we are taking. If the issue is really a data error or an unmet data request, we will address it directly. Complaining is free and never counts against you.
Escalating to the ICO
If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's independent data-protection regulator. The ICO can look at how we handled your data independently of us. You can approach them at any time, though raising it with us first often resolves things faster.
A wider complaint
If your concern is about the account or a lending matter rather than data specifically, that follows our general complaints route, which may ultimately involve the Financial Ombudsman Service where eligible. Data and general complaints are separate paths, and we will point you to the right one if you are unsure.
Frequently asked questions
Who do I complain to first?
Us, usually — it's the fastest way to fix most issues. Contact us via credicorp.co.uk or your account, and we'll investigate and come back to you.
Can I go straight to the regulator?
You can approach the ICO at any time, but raising it with us first often resolves things faster. If our response doesn't satisfy you, escalating to the ICO is your right.
Will complaining affect my account?
No. Complaining is free and never counts against you. It helps us put things right and improve how we handle data.
