Why keep it current
Your sign-in email is more than a username — it is where password resets, security alerts and account notices are sent. If it points at a mailbox you no longer check, or one belonging to someone who has left, you could miss a critical alert or be unable to recover access. Update it whenever the right person or address changes.
How to change it
- Sign in and open Account or Profile settings.
- Choose Change sign-in email and enter the new address.
- We send a verification link to the new address; open it to confirm you control the mailbox.
- The change takes effect once verified, and we notify the old address so any unauthorised change is visible.
Keep alerts pointing somewhere you watch
After changing the address, confirm your security alerts now go to a mailbox you monitor. For shared oversight, you can send alerts to a second address as well, so a co-director or finance lead also sees them.
If you can't access the old address
If the old mailbox is gone — a former colleague's account, say — and you cannot sign in to make the change, follow account recovery. We will verify your authority as a director before moving the account to a new address, which protects you from anyone trying to hijack it.
Frequently asked questions
Why do I have to verify the new email?
To prove you actually control the new mailbox before it becomes the account's recovery and alert destination. It stops anyone diverting your account to an address they own.
Will my alerts and resets move to the new address?
Yes. Once verified, password resets, security alerts and notices go to the new address. Check your alert settings afterwards to be sure.
I can't get into the old email to change it — what now?
Follow account recovery. We will verify your authority as a director and move the account to your new address once we are satisfied it is genuinely you.
