Know your collection date
Repayments are collected on set dates by direct debit or your agreed method. Knowing those dates and making sure the repayment account holds enough the day before is the whole job. You can see upcoming collections in your account, and set a reminder a couple of days ahead so a busy week never catches you out.
Use reminders and alerts
Turn on payment reminders in your notification settings so you are prompted before each collection. Pair that with security alerts and you have both a nudge to fund the account and a warning if anything about your payments changes.
If a collection is going to fail
If you know a payment will not go through, tell us before the date, not after. We would far rather arrange something in advance than process a failed collection. If your cash flow is genuinely tight, that is a conversation we handle with care and without friction — read about support on the apex site and see the answers hub for common questions on repayment difficulty. There is no penalty for asking early.
Plan cash flow around collections
The steadier your cash flow, the easier collections are. Use the Credit Corp calculators to see repayment amounts and timing, and read Learn for guidance on managing working capital so collection dates line up with money coming in.
Frequently asked questions
What happens if a collection fails?
You may incur a returned-payment fee, and repeated failures can affect your record. Fund the account ahead of time, and if a payment will fail, tell us before the date to arrange an alternative.
Can I change my collection date?
Often, yes — contact us to discuss aligning the date with your cash flow. Arranging it in advance is always better than a missed collection.
I can't make an upcoming payment — what should I do?
Contact us before the collection date. If money is tight we treat it with care and no friction, and arranging something early avoids fees and protects your record.
